Ray Tye

Ray Tye, 68, of Taylor Mill passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at St. Elizabeth in Edgewood. He retired as a welder from J.H. Day in Norwood after 23 years. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry Air Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Vietnam Service, Campaign, and Commendations Medals.

Preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie and Alene Burton Tye, as well as his brother, Joe Tye. Survived by his loving companion, Cindy Glass; 2 sons, Jeffrey Tye and Michael Tye; 2 brothers, Bill Tye and Roger Tye; sister, Sue Shell; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Memorials to Kenton County Game & Fish, 10510 Locust Pike, Ryland Heights, KY 41015. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
