Louise Castleman Theissen

Louise Castleman Theissen, 91, of Taylor Mill, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Friday, June 16, 2017, surrounded by family at her home.

Louise was a 1944 graduate of Holmes High School, and was very active, even in recent years, with the reunion committee. She retired from CG&E after many years there. Louise was lifelong member of Latonia Baptist Church, Oak Ridge Baptist Church, AARP, Edgewood Seniors, and Taylor Mill Seniors. She traveled the world with the CG&E retirees and lifelong friends, and very much enjoyed her monthly bridge games with friends. In recent years, Louise enjoyed many great times and vacations surrounded by her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She was the Matriarch of the "Theissen Clan" and she will be deeply missed by all those that she touched.

Preceded in death by her parents, Amy (Shaw) Castleman (1900-1982) and David Ellis Castleman (1899-1992); also preceded by her husband Thomas H. Theissen; and sister Alene Cowherd Pendery and brother in law Perrin B. Cowherd.

Survived by five children; Ken (Gretchen) Theissen, Dan (Annette) Theissen, Paula (Paul) Theissen Saint-Villiers, Larry (Rhea) Theissen, and Scott (Jackie) Theissen; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Visitation 10:30 AM until funeral service at 1 PM on Wednesday, June 21 –all at SWINDLER & CURRIN FUNERAL HOME - LATONIA.

Interment Independence Cemetery.
